This is wood carving of my name. It is roughly 1.2m long and carved on Pohutakawa.
Me and my Dad made a carving each during Covid-19 lockdown and took about 10 days to complete. I sanded the wood first. Then I wrote my name in pencil, and then used a chisel and hammer to carve out the inside of the pencil marks. I used 2 different sized chisels to get the letters smoother. Then I painted the carved letters and we hung it in my hut.
Archer did this project 100% on his own with no adult help and was very proud of himself.
