Aja Yoruba is a spirit goddess from mythology of the patron of the forest. She comes from West African culture where she cares for the forest and the animals within it, she also has immaculate healing abilities. I have paired her here with a leopard as leopards spirit animal is the healer of all deep wounds, which relates to Aja Yoruba as she cares and heals for her land and people. This relates to me as I feel the world should aspire to her kindness and care for the world and nature she surrounds herself with.
I have used acrylic paint as well as gold metallic paint to capture her inner glow of kindness.
